Myanmar is the traditional name both of the country and of its people. The British called the country "Burma" following colloquial usage and coiled the name "Burmese" for the people. Myanmar, know as Suvanna Bhumi (the Golden Earth) in the olden days for its fertile land and rich natural resources is the largest country in the South-east Asia Peninsular sharing borders with Bangladesh, India, China, Laos and Thailand. Day 1: Yangon 
( Yangon ) 

Welcome at the airport by your tour guide. Transfer and check-in at the hotel. Room available upon arrival. The day will be adjusted depending on the arrival time. Enjoy a city tour of the charming Yangon, the largest city of Myanmar. In the afternoon, visit Chauk Htet Gyi Pagoda, Sulé Pagoda and the Chinese and Indian quarters. In the late afternoon, visit the Colonial district and its old buildings, such as the old station, the famous Strand Hotel and the Port of Yangon. At sunset, visit the majestic Shwedagon Pagoda, with its golden dome dominating the skyline of the city. Overnight in Yangon. 

Day 2: Yangon / Heho - Pindaya (B, D)

Breakfast at hotel and morning will be free. The Guide, car and driver will be available at your disposal. In the early afternoon, transfer to the airport for the flight to Heho. On arrival, welcome by a colonial-era bus from the company "Balloons over Bagan". Then drive to the village of Pindaya through beautiful landscape (about 2 hours). Check-in at the hotel. Dinner under the banyan trees. Overnight in Pindaya. 

Day 3: Pindaya - Inle Lake (B, L, D)

After breakfast at the hotel, an overview of Pindaya and its surroundings in a hot- air balloon. Then visit the Gaung Sin Monastery located in the heart of a beautiful garden planted with shrubs and flora. Continue to Shwe Umin, or caves d'Or. This is a very significant sanctuary as it contains nearly one hundred statues of Buddha. Every corner, every crevice houses an effigy of Buddha. Meet with the local artisans making the traditional Shan paper (mulberry paper), which is used for the packaging of tea or making hats and umbrellas. By late morning, depart by road to Nyaung Shwe Village. Visit the village and transfer to the hotel in a private motor boat. Picnic lunch on the way to Inle Lake. In the afternoon, cruise on Inle Lake by a local boat guided by one of its famous "leg rower" which have made the reputation of Inle Lake. Enjoy a traditional Shan dinner and a traditional Shan dance show. Overnight at Inle Lake 

Day 4: Inle Lake (B, L, D)

At sunrise, enjoy an over-view of Inle Lake in a hot-air balloon. Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, depart to the local market to buy local products which you would use later. Late in the morning, arrive in a unique and friendly environment where you will learn how to prepare a traditional meal in an authentic and typical home of an Intha, located near the entrance of a narrow canal, in the company of these people. The village is hidden off the beaten track. You will be welcomed by the family of the owner of the House where the traditional cigars "Cheeroots" are produced. This is a unique opportunity to share a traditional meal with the fishermen of Lake Inle. In the afternoon, return to the hotel. Dinner at the hotel. Overnight at Lake Inle. 

Day 5: Inle Lake - Heho / Nyaung U - Bagan (B, L, D)

At sunrise, enjoy an over-view of Inle Lake in a hot-air balloon. Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, depart to the local market to buy local products which you would use later. Day 6: Bagan (B, L, D)

At sunrise, enjoy the over-view of the plain of Bagan in a hot-air balloon. After breakfast, stroll through the colorful market of Nyaung U. Visit the Shwezigon Pagoda and its magnificent golden Burmese stupa (an elegant bell-shaped stupa which became the model of all stupas built later in Myanmar), the Kyansitha Umin Tunnel which is decorated with murals of the 13th century and the Gyu Byauk Kyi Temple where fine frescoes depicting the Jatakas or the previous lives of the Buddha are painted in the interior walls. Picnic lunch amongst the ancient temples. The afternoon will be dedicated to the visit of the major monuments of Old Bagan, such as the ruins of the Royal Palace, the magnificent Tharabar’s door and the Ananda Temple, a jewel of the Burmese architectural with 4 huge statues of Buddha and Ananda Okkyaung, one of the last monasteries made of bricks. At sunset, a short sail on the Irrawaddy River (drinks not included). Dinner show at the foot of a temple (no alcohol). Overnight in Bagan. 

Day 7: Bagan - Nyaung U / Yangon (B, L, D)

At sunrise, enjoy the over-view of the plain of Bagan in a hot-air balloon Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the beautiful temple of Gawdawpalin and the monuments in the surroundings of Myinkaba Village such as: Manuha, Myinkaba-Gubaukkyi, Nampaya and Nagayon. Then head toward New Bagan to the south of the site for the visit of a lacquer workshop and learn the traditional techniques of making this traditional specialty of Bagan. Lunch at the local restaurant "Sunset Garden". In the afternoon, transfer to the airport for the flight to Yangon. Upon arrival, transfer to the restaurant "The Planteur" in the city center. Gala dinner at the garden of the gourmet restaurant “The Planteur”. Overnight in Yangon. 

Day 8: Yangon (B) 
( Yangon ) 

After breakfast, free time in the morning for shopping at Bogyoke Market (closed Mondays and holidays). Rooms must be released by noon. Depending on the flight schedule, transfer to the airport for your flight. End of our services. 
 

Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda

The Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda is famous for its huge image of Reclining Buddha. built in 1966 replacing the old image built in 1907 by Sir Hpo Thar. But it was suffered damage due to climate over the years. In 1957 it was demolished and rebuilt to this structure in 1966. It measures 65 meters and is housed in an iron structure with corrugated iron sheets roof of six layers.

Shwedagon Pagoda

The Shwedagon Pagoda or stupa is also called the Golden Pagoda and it is situated in Yangon, Myanmar. The exact height of the Stupa is 321.5 feet. The Shwedagon Pagoda is located to the west of the Kandawgyi Lake, on the Singuttara hill. This Pagoda is considered to be the most religious pagoda of Lord Buddha for the Burmese. The Pagoda was built to give shelter to the hairs of Buddha.

Botataung Pagoda

The Botataung Pagoda is a famous pagoda located in downtown Yangon, Myanmar, near the Yangon river. The pagoda was first built by the Mon around the same time as was Shwedagon Pagoda—according to local belief, over 2500 years ago, and was known as Kyaik-de-att in Mon language. The pagoda is hollow within, and houses what is believed to be a sacred hair of Gautama Buddha.

Shwesandaw Pagoda

The Shwesandaw Pagoda is a Buddhist pagoda located in Bagan, Burma. The pagoda contains a series of five terraces, topped with a cylindrical stupa, which has a bejewelled umbrella.

Pindaya Caves

The Pindaya Caves located next to the town of Pindaya, Shan State, Burma (Myanmar) are a Buddhist pilgrimage site and a tourist attraction located on a limestone ridge in the Myelat region. There are three "caves" on the ridge which runs north-south, but only the southern cave can be entered and explored. It is not known whether the other two penetrate for any extended distance into the hillside.

Mahamuni Buddha Temple

The Mahamuni Buddha Temple is a Buddhist temple and major pilgrimage site, located southwest of Mandalay, Burma. The Mahamuni Buddha image is deified in this temple, and originally came from Arakan.

Kyauktawgyi Pagoda

Kyauktawgyi Pagoda means the Pagoda of the Great Marble Image. It is also known as Maha Thetkya Marazain Pagoda. Kyauktawgyi Pagoda built by King Mindon stands at the foot of Mandalay Hill. The Image was carved out of a huge single block of marble. It took three years from 1863 to 1865.
